Company Management
Tom Nalevanko, Mainstay Co-Founder and President
A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mr. Nalevanko caught the
Apple II microcomputing bug in 1979 while working as a manager
for Hughes Aircraft in Paris. When he returned to the U.S. in 1980,
he started an export firm for microcomputing products in Los
Angeles. This led to the creation of Mainstay in 1982.
An early and firm believer in GUI environments and the World Wide Web,
Mr. Nalevanko focused Mainstay's efforts on applications
that make best use of these technologies. He is frequently a guest
speaker at computer trade conferences. He also gives talks regarding
programming, groupware, and business software to general and corporate computer groups.
Mr. Nalevanko is a graduate of Penn State and UCLA. He is an avid
pilot and can often be found at 7,500 feet somewhere between Los
Angeles and San Francisco. He lives with his wife and daughter in
Camarillo, California.
