Class Format Error

If you are using Fetch for the Macintosh to upload the class files and you are seeing a class format error in the status bar of your browser you need to follow the steps below:

In order to upload the class files without corrupting them using Fetch you need to follow these steps carefully. If you are going to uplaod a single file then first you need to run Fetch and log on to your ftp server.
Then either use the 'Put File' button

or from the Remote Menu, select 'Put Folders and Files'
Please note: Do not drag and drop the class files into your server. This will undoubtedly corrupt the files.

Next, locate the 'Upload to your Web site!' folder and open it. Inside there is a 'classes' folder. Open the classes folder and select the class you want to upload.

Click the 'Open' button and another dialog box will appear.

Make sure you have 'RAW DATA' selected as the upload format.

Next locate the 'Upload to your web site!' folder and open it. Inside there is a 'classes' folder. Select the classes folder then press the 'Add' button:

Now click the 'OK' button and another dialog box will appear"

Make sure you have 'RAW DATA' selected as both upload formats for text and other files.

Once you have uploaded the files quit Fetch and launch your web browser. Clear the browsers cache then quit the browser. Relaunch the browser and navigate to your page. The applet should be working now.
