Class Format Error

If you are using CuteFTP for Windows to upload the class files and you are seeing a class format error in the status bar of your browser you need to follow the steps below:

In order to upload the class files without corrupting them using CuteFTP you need to follow these steps carefully. First run CuteFTP and log on to your server. Once connected choose 'Binary' as the transfer type:

Please note: If Binary does not work try using the 'Automatic' selection.

Next locate the 'Upload to your Web site!' folder on your hard drive.

Then open it

Next create a new classes folder in the same directory as your page or pages calling the applets on your server.

Name it 'classes'

Your directory structure should look similar to the one below:

Now open both the classes direcory on your hard drive and the classes directory on the server.

Now select all the class and cab files in the classes folder on your hard drive.

Make sure you are in the classes directory on your server then click the 'Upload' button.

When done your directory structure should look similar to the one below:
